World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth says
Closing our series on Russia, historian Douglas Smith will discuss the real story behind the mythical figure of Rasputin, the subject of his book "Rasputin: Faith, Power, and the Twilight of the Romanovs," on Dec. 6. Reserve your seat today: http://dfw.world/2a9v11I

A long-time Russian translator who once served as an intertrepeter for President Ronald Reagan, Smith has written a magnetic portait of the complex "man of God" known to us as Rasputin. Called "a voice of peace, loyal subject, adulterer, drunkard," Rasputin continues to attract interest even a hundred years after he was mysteriously murdered.

Tickets for the reception, program and book signing are set at $25 for members and $40 for non-members. Get 'em while you still can: http://dfw.world/2a9v11I
