Dallas – Four South Dallas/Fair Park organizations join together to co-sponsor a Dallas City Council, District 7,

Candidate Forum that allows area residents and stakeholders to hear from and ask questions of the eight candidates running to replace term-limited District 7 Councilwoman, Carolyn R. Davis.

Zip Code Connection, an anti-poverty initiative of the North Texas United Methodist Churches focusing on South
Dallas, South Dallas Fair Park Faith Coalition, churches working to increase the collective impact of the faith
community, Revitalize South Dallas Coalition, a non-profit championing South Dallas/Fair Park economic
development; and WINS, Working in Neighborhoods Strategically, a resident-led initiative developing long-term
South Dallas/Fair Park revitalization strategies, are co-sponsoring the District 7 Candidate Forum.

The event begins with voter registration from 5:30 – 6:30 pm. The Candidate Forum begins promptly at 6:30 pm in the church sanctuary. Each candidate will be introduced and given the opportunity to make brief opening remarks.

Afterwards, the moderator will ask questions pre-submitted by residents and stakeholder organizations. The final section will include open mic questions from the audience.
