The museum will be featuring a special exhibit only during the month of August highlighting the 1969 Texas International Pop Festival. Held two weeks after the first Woodstock Festival, some 150,000 people gathered in Lewisville, Texas to hear an eclectic lineup of music that included many notable Texans such as Janis Joplin, Johnny Winter, Freddie King, and Sly Stone. Also included in the lineup were the likes of B.B. King, Chicago, Grand Funk Railroad, Santana, and Led Zeppelin.

Enjoy delicious food from Smokin' Joe's Place (located at the back of the museum) before the show. The Exhibit Room will be open for self guided tours for a small donation. Your contributions are greatly appreciated in helping the TMM continue its mission of preserving Texas' musical history!
