On Thursday September 10, 4pm-8pm, Trans.lation will host a Fall Celebration in conjunction with Ethiopian New Year

Trans.lation, a project initiated by Nasher artist-in-residence Rick Lowe for Nasher Xchange in 2013, continues in its third year. The Fall Celebration is an opportunity to get to know the activities and initiatives in the revitalized Trans.lation storefront space and celebrate the Ethiopian New Year, with artist Rick Lowe in attendance.

***Please do not park in Trans.lation storefront space, please park across the street at the Sam Tasby Middle School/Jack Lowe Elementary School parking lot off of Ridgecrest****

The celebration will feature:
•Ethiopian music and dance performance
•Ethiopian coffee ceremony
•Artisan market featuring internationally made crafts
•Exhibition featuring art created in Trans.lation workshops
•Henna body art
•Community garden unveiling
•Aztec Dance performance


The Artisan market is cash only, scheduled performance times TBA
