Are y'all ready for ANOTHER FREE party and concert?

The "What is Cinema?" Podcast is Dallas' newest arts and culture podcast, brought to you by two grants from the City of Dallas and recorded at the legendary, Texas Theatre.

The podcast is presented by The Oak Cliff Cultural Center and and hosted by film nerds Lee Escobedo (THRWD) and Patrick Patterson-Carroll (THRWD), with audio engineering by Christopher Kolleade (The Reunion Podcast) and branding by Arturo Torres (Illustrator of the New York Times bestseller, "The Rap Yearbook"). Episode 2 special guest is artist and writer, Lucia Simek, Manager of Communications at The Nasher Sculpture Center.

To celebrate the release of the podcast's second episode, we are having a FREE party for ALL AGES from 9pm - 2am, Sunday, March 20 at Oak Cliff Cultural Center with FREE food and FREE beer for those 21+!

Each monthly episode of the "What is Cinema?" Podcast will center around the film programming at Texas Theatre. For our second episode we are delving into the cannon of visual artist and filmaker, Matthew Barney, whose new film, "River of Fundament" is presented by The Nasher Sculpture Center at Texas Theatre on March 19 and 20.

Since the film deals with the intersectionality of film and art, we decided to have a launch party with some of Dallas' most forward-thinking and performative acts.

Hosted by artist and cultural matriarch, Lauren Woods!

The launch party will feature performances by:

New Fumes: https://soundcloud.com/newfumes

Lord Byron: https://soundcloud.com/bylrdby

and a LIT DJ set by Oak Cliff's own, bemyfriend

This event is free and open to the public!
