Please join Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods for a $75 (per couple), three hour, informational session on navigating the Denver public schools process. Childcare will be provided. Sign up by clicking the tickets link.

Martin School of Early Education Owner Nicole Martin and parent/professional Keely Buchanan have partnered in order to help local families make informed educational choices for their up and coming Preschoolers and Kindergarteners.

Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods sees the value in offering this seminar to our local families. CHUN is excited to partner with Martin and Buchanan to provide this service to our Capitol Hill area parents.

Join them to learn about: Denver Public School (DPS) Preschool Options, school deadlines, Testing, Advanced Kindergarten, Gifted & Talented (GT) and Highly Gifted & Talented (HGT), Neighborhood/Boundary Schools; Charter Schools; Magnet Schools, Special Focus Schools (Arts, Science, International, Expeditionary, Dual Language, IB, and Montessori), Private Schools (Religious, Gifted, International, Waldorf, Montessori, Progressive, Micro) ; Cost; Questions to ask during school tours; Questions to ask Teachers and Principals; Parent feedback; Best Practices; Lessons Learned, etc.

FYI - We will begin our sessions in August, as DPS deadlines start in October the year BEFORE your little one starts Kindergarten (Advanced Kindergarten application due) and run through January of the year he/she will start (Round 1 Choice forms due).

If you are looking at DPS Preschool options, your deadline will be in January of the year your little starts Preschool (Round 1 Choice forms due).

These 3-hour group sessions will include information about the topics listed above and will leave plenty of time for Q&A. You will leave with: printed documentation, access to electronic documentation and resources, ongoing Facebook Group support (deadlines, calendars, reminders, articles, Q&A), etc.

It's never too early - all ages welcome! The sessions are set up to best help kiddos age 1-5, who are a year or more out from starting Kindergarten.
