April 7, 2015, marks Billie Holiday’s 100th birthday!

Join us for the Billie Holiday Centennial Celebration at Denver Union Station on April 11th 4-6p.m.!

The Apollo Theatre in New York is commemorating Holiday’s centennial with her induction into the Walk Of Fame on April 6 and a special performance on April 10 by vocalist Cassandra Wilson.

Denver has its own tradition of jazz, and Billie Holiday was once a part of it. Along with many greats of her era, she performed in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood at The Rossonian Hotel.

A tribute led by Venus Cruz and Denver's Finest Jazz Musicians who will perform Holiday's most loved songs.

This once-in-a-lifetime event, set in the stately new public space of Denver Union Station’s Great Hall, will also deliver a few surprises. In addition, DenverMind Media will be present to videotape and document the event.

Come and enjoy!
