Downtown Denver Partnership Forum: The Future Of The 16th Street Mall says
The 16th Street Mall serves our city as one of its most vital connectors and important public spaces. Now more than 30 years old, the Mall is facing unique challenges that include aging infrastructure and security concerns. How can it become a place where people want to come more often, and stay longer?

The program will detail several strategic initiatives, led by the Downtown Denver Partnership, the City and County of Denver and RTD, outcomes of which will directly impact the future of the 16th Street Mall.

You will leave the Forum with:

An understanding of the Mall’s infrastructure and how its design impacts transportation, maintenance and activation.

An overview of The Mall Experience: The Future of Denver’s 16th Street Mall study, including the first insights from Gehl Architects. Gehl will share some key findings of its study of Mall activation, a study that may influence the future of the Mall and help it reach its potential as a vibrant, active and successful “people place.”

An overview of the recently-completed comprehensive Downtown Security Action Plan, including concrete action items that will begin implementation in the coming months.

Join us to learn about these important strategic initiatives, engage in programs to support the long-term viability of the Mall, and understand how you can positively impact efforts to ensure the Mall remains a world-class destination.
