Food Rescue Ride says
Food Rescue Ride is back for its second year! Save the date: August 13, 2016 at Cherry Creek State Park's Smoky Hill Parking Area.

The Food Rescue Alliance is a network of bicycle-based food rescue organizations all around the world. This year, three FRA members—Denver Food Rescue, Boulder Food Rescue, and Colorado Springs Food Rescue—are collaborating to bring you this ride and raise awareness of food insecurity and access to fresh healthy food. Traditional food banks don't often have fresh whole fruits and veggies - at the same time it is estimated we throw out 30-50% of our food farm to table. Grocery stores and farmers markets donate edible produce that would otherwise be thrown away and Food Rescue Alliance chapters redistribute it directly to low income food desert neighborhoods. We believe all should have a right to healthy food. We need community help to accomplish this.

Many nonprofits have one big gala or dinner event to raise significant funds for their mission but we want to fundraise and celebrate outside - on our bikes! Of course there will be food, drinks, prizes, & entertainment but we will experience that with the wind in our hair and the beautiful scenery of the park and reservoir.

And don't forget to dress as your favorite fruit or vegetable!

Prizes (like road & mountain bikes, event tickets, gift certificates, massages & more) will be awarded for top fundraisers, best decorated trailer, and for the best dressed rider in each ride category.

We are here to support you with your fundraising goals and requirements - share your fundraising page via email, social media, or maybe host a small get together for friends and talk about the ride! Anything goes.

+ if you over-fundraise by $150 you will receive a custom Food Rescue Ride Primal jersey. If you over-fundraise by $25 you will get custom Food Rescue Ride Primal sporting socks!

Contact us at for anything, we want to connect with you! See you on the trail....
