How 2016 Ballot Initiatives Will Impact Colorado Health Care

Focusing on Amendment 69, ColoradoCare, Katherine will address upcoming statewide ballot initiatives in Colorado and discuss how they may impact the health care industry, regardless of whether they pass or fail. In addition to Amendment 69, Katherine will also discuss other ballot initiatives – including an increase in Colorado’s tobacco tax, the effort to change our constitutional amendment process, the proposal to allow medically-assisted aid-in-dying, and the minimum wage initiative. Disclosure: CHA opposes Amendment 69; CHA supports Amendments 71 and 72; CHA does not have positions on remaining 2016 statewide ballot initiatives.

Speaker:
Katherine Mulready is the Chief Strategy Officer & Vice President for Legislative Policy for the Colorado Hospital Association, where she is responsible for overseeing CHA's public policy priorities and ensuring CHA’s 100 member hospitals are well-represented in policy debates at the state and national level.

Cost:
The cost for CBA Health Section members is $15.00. The cost for non-Health Law members is $20.00. Please specify if you would like a vegetarian lunch. You can also attend by teleconference for $10.00. Students are welcome to attend the program, free of charge. Please RSVP to the Colorado Bar Association at lunches@cobar.org or register online.

Reservations must be received by noon on Tuesday, October 18, 2016. Any cancellations received after noon on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 will be charged for the cost of the program.
