International Women's Day 2017 says
International Women's Day (IWD) celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievement of women. IWD has been observed since the early 1900s. March 8 has been the global date for IWD since 1914 when women across Europe held rallies to campaign against the war and to express women's solidarity.

Since 2013, WorldDenver has hosted Denver's premier International Women's Day celebration. The event continues to expand, with over 400 people participating in 2016. For this year's event we are thrilled to welcome Pulitzer Prize winner and business executive Sheryl WuDunn as our keynote speaker.

The day's schedule of events is as follows:
9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Global Women’s Seminar
11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. Networking & Non-Profit Showcase
11:45 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Gala Luncheon
