The 1990s were an idyllic era. Before ubiquitous cell phones and the hell of texting and online dating, people still ate micro fries and no one had heard of cleansing or gluten. Donald Trump was just a super rich guy with a foreign wife and Bill Clinton was our sax and cigar loving prez. "120 Minutes" was on the air, I graduated from both high school and college and heard the Wu Tang for the first time with a bunch of chefs from Brookyn on Martha's Vineyard. More than a party theme for people born in the 80s, alternative culture really meant something in the 90s! "Alternative" music was the soundtrack for some of our most important coming of age moments - let's not let it be forgotten. Bring anything era specific (80s exceptions apply for many bands!) you want to play, I'll try to get a compact disc set up working and we can always mine Spotify - though it seems to be lacking in some of the lesser known tracks from this era... party on Gen X!
