On Saturday, April 16, T. John Hughes will be presenting his book APPARITIONS: Architecture That Has Disappeared from Our Cities.

About the book

APPARITIONS: Architecture That Has Disappeared from Our Cities is a photography project about buildings that have vanished from our cities. Ghosted pictures of these structures are combined with current photos of their former locations in single images, with informative text panels. This unique approach provides an engaging way of telling stories of change in our built environments and exploring the wonderful historical narratives that commemorate architecture in space and time. National in scope and including a surprising variety of building types, APPARITIONS is comprised of seventy photographs from more than sixty cities across the U.S.
