The Foo Fighters have announced dates for a 2015 UK stadium tour, with the final gig taking place at Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium on Tue Jun 23 (following shows in Sunderland, Manchester and London). They'll be supported at the Edinburgh gig by like-minded UK rockers Royal Blood, with additional support acts still to be announced.
The tour is linked to the Foo's latest album, 'Sonic Highways', which we reckoned was pretty darn spectacular - our reviewer gave it four stars, commending the LP as 'a set of meteoric rock songs' that 'command you to rock out, stadium-style, around your living room'. The album was accompanied by an eight-part HBO documentary following the band as they travelled to various cities across America, taking inspiration from the musical heritage of each location and recording part of the album there.
The Foo Fighters play Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium on Tue Jun 23. Tickets for the gig go onsale via gigsandtours.com from 10am on Fri Nov 21.
