Festival celebrating oral storytelling traditions from Scotland and around the world

Festival celebrating oral storytelling traditions from Scotland and around the world, with its base in Edinburgh's Scottish Storytelling Centre but events held all over the country. The theme for the 2014 edition is 'Once Upon a Place', exploring our shared humanity across cultures, with guest storytellers from Canada, New Zealand, Portugal, Germany, Italy and beyond. There are aso numerous events celebrating the 200th anniversary of the publication of 'Waverley', Sir Walter Scott's first novel, and a Hallowe'en themed closing weekend.
