Learn how the missing link in fossil research known as Romer’s Gap is finally being filled. For years there was no fossil evidence to explain how vertebrate life stepped from water to land. That was until 2008, when palaeontologist Stan Wood uncovered a notable amphibian specimen nicknamed ‘Ribbo’. Spurred on by his finds, researchers from National Museums Scotland and institutions around the country have been working together to uncover more examples in Scotland.
