Fossil Hunters: Unearthing the Mystery of Life on Land

Museums, Natural history and wildlife

Learn how the missing link in fossil research known as Romer’s Gap is finally being filled. For years there was no fossil evidence to explain how vertebrate life stepped from water to land. Spurred on by his finds, researchers from National Museums Scotland and institutions around the country have been working together to uncover more examples in Scotland.
