The iconic city media brand Time Out has arrived in Finland. Time Out brings together the best experiences, thrills and flavours in each city, curated by local experts across different fields (and regular people, too). The aim is simple: to help people enjoy their cities more easily – and more than ever.
That happens through our articles, and plenty have already landed on the brand-new website.
True to its name, Time Out Finland covers the whole country (with the exception of Helsinki, which has its own site). To start with, we’re focusing on the biggest cities: Tampere, Turku, Jyväskylä, Oulu and Rovaniemi. And while Time Out is a city media, we’ll spotlight nature experiences from around Finland as well – because can you really tell international travellers about Finland without raving about Lapland? We don’t think so.

Time Out serves up timely, carefully curated recommendations for restaurants, events, hotels, bars, theatre, art exhibitions, cafés and experiences – in other words, all the fun and interesting things cities have to offer. Our mission is to make choosing as easy as possible: settle in, open our guides and pick the option that appeals most right now.
Every recommendation is selected with care and based on our local writers’ first-hand experience. Time Out’s guiding principle is simple: We know because we go. That’s why our writers are out in the city experiencing things for themselves – so they know which places are worth recommending (and which we won’t write about).
In addition to Time Out Finland, we’re publishing three other sites in Finland: Time Out Helsinki focuses on the capital region, and alongside the English-language sites both Time Out Helsinki and Time Out Finland are also published in Finnish.
Founded in London in 1968 as A4 listings zines, Time Out has grown into a global digital media brand. Today it’s one of the world’s best-known city and travel media titles and a global phenomenon – and now, finally, in Finland too.
