Swedish sweet brand Bubs is opening its own pop-up shop in Helsinki on Saturday August 29. The shop, which is opening on Keskuskatu, will stay open until December, making it Bubs’s third standalone store after New York and Stockholm.

Bubs became an international phenomenon thanks in particular to the Swedish Candy trend, which took off on social media. The brand’s sweets have gained an almost cult following, with the most popular flavours selling out both in Sweden and around the world.

As well as pick ’n’ mix sweets, the Helsinki pop-up will also stock Bubs-branded products. If you want to be among the first to fill your sweet bag, you’ll want to set your alarm early: queues are expected even before the doors open on launch day. There will be entertainment for those waiting in line from 09:00, and the shop will open its doors an hour later at 10:00.

Founded in Jönköping, Sweden, in 1992, Bubs has grown from a local sweet favourite into a global phenomenon.
