Harju’s culturally historic mortuary in Vallila is being transformed into a creative, community-focused club space for two months. The old mortuary will be open daily from 4 December to 29 January, at least from 12.00 to 18.00.

There’s a wide range of events on offer: a café, Christmas markets, flea markets, ideation and product development evenings, body-care sessions, painting and crafts workshops, plus DJ schools. And if you’re after something truly different, the space will also host afterwork coffin meditation.

In January, All City Agency will open a graffiti- and street-culture-based art exhibition featuring several internationally known artists from Finland and abroad.

The events are organised by Öljyymö, an idea incubator and community space that invites locals to help make culture happen. The booking calendar is open, and anyone is welcome to take part in the programme. You can also drop by to workshop ideas and network with other content creators. Öljyymö’s philosophy is simple: anyone can try out and develop event content without taking on major financial risks.

Öljyymö is open at Harju’s old mortuary until 29 January. Check out the full programme in the event calendar!
