Ever been lost as to what to wear to a tea party?

Born, the Manchester based make up and styling studio, have just the answer for the trans community with their new monthly Mad Trans Tea Party.

It's every first Saturday of the month, starting this week, and gives trans people a space and event where to enjoy socialising, getting together, relaxing, drinking tea, eating cake, laughing and getting make up, hair and fashion tips.

Grace Oni Smith will be joining in to help with makeup and styling, whilst  the wonderful Kate O’Donnell (pictured) will be popping in from time to time to share her experiences. Kate's one woman show 'Big Girl's Blouse' was a big hit at Contact and continues to tour the UK.

Resident 'Beauty Guru' Sam will be on hand to offer beauty tips and advice. A recognised voice in the beauty industry, Sam will be offering file and polishes and ear piercing on the day. She will also offer guidance on how to shape  eyebrows, whether for adaptability or creating that perfect feminine shape. Sam, who also teaches all things waxing, will be talking hair removal and discussing the best methods available.

There'll be a selection of lovely luxury teas, biscuits, cake and, for those who prefer coffee, a hot pot will be on the go.

The afternoon is an informal event for those trans people who aren't necessarily catered for on the bar and club scene, which doesn't seem that mad an idea after all.

The Mad Trans Tea Party, 1st Sat of the month starting Sat November 7, 10am, Born, free entry but book in advance here.

See the Born website for further details.
