Featuring Tame Impala drummer Julien Barbagallo and members of Melody's Echo Chamber and Stereolab, Aquaserge certainly glistens with stellar names.

The group was formed around musicians yearning to explore lesser known pockets of rock, pushing tried and tested pop-rock formulas and stretching them further than audiences might be used to.

The result is something resembling a psych-pop - but also something far from it.
