Returning for its second year, the Manchester Festive Happening takes over the stunning Albert Hall with a baroque programme with traditional Christmas carols. Camerata strings and brass will be on board to perform the likes of Handel's 'Arrival Of The Queen Of Sheba', 'O Holy Night' and Vivaldi's 'Winter' from 'The Four Seasons', while the performance of Gabriel's 'Sonatas And Canzonas' will see brass musicians take to each corner of the room, filling the venue with sound from every angle.
There will be mulled wine and mince pies at the bar, plus a free pre-concert talk at 2pm discussing the trumpet and its development.
