Calamity Jane

This new production of the musical western is by Watermill Theatre, who have previsouly done touring versions of 'Sweeney Todd' and 'Sunset Boulevard'. Here, the story revolves around a tough woman in a man's world, trying to prove herself. But don't get too excited, it was written a long time ago, so it still takes the love of a good man to make her find herself...

The score is great, Oscar nominated in fact, and songs like 'Secret Love' and 'The Deadwood Stage (Whip Crack Away)' are familiar even when you know you haven;t seen the film before.
