Celebrate the achievements of the local schools in a Shakespearean showcase of their skills

For five days, the Shakespeare Schools Festival will be presenting four half-hour productions of different Shakespeare plays each night.

Why? Well, as the biggest youth drama festival in the UK, it provides invaluable assistance and advice for schools wishing to engage their pupils with the Bard, with these short productions an important aspect.

At Contact, school from Prestwich to Parrs Wood will perform from ‘Macbeth’, ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, ‘The Tempest’ and more. It’s a fantastic festival and it does wonders for getting kids involved with something they might all too easily dismiss.
