Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida says
November is National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Month, and we need YOUR help to spread the word. Join us for our annual Day of Awareness on Wednesday, November 18.

The first 100 volunteers to attend will receive a FREE ticket to the Orlando Magic game that evening! To reserve your ticket, register online by visiting: http://weblink.donorperfect.com/awareness

We'll begin by meeting at Harry Buffalo in Downtown Orlando at 4:30 PM to check-in and create signs (don't worry, we'll have materials).

Make sure to wear PURPLE! It's the official color of the cause.

Want to get creative and make your sign ahead of time? Here are some facts:

- 600 homeless men, women, and children call the Coalition "home" each day
Families with children = fastest growing segment of homeless population
- 1 in 4 at Coalition are children
- 1 in 17 Central FL children experienced homelessness last year
- 26,000 children experienced homelessness in Central FL last year
- There are 400 homeless veterans in Central FL
- 4.8 million Americans live in poverty
