Last Days In Vietnam says
WUCF is inviting the public to (1) view the screening and follow (2) participate in a panel discussion.
(1) Screening - "Last Days in Vietnam" chronicles the chaotic final days of the Vietnam War, as the North Vietnamese Army closed in on Saigon and South Vietnamese resistance crumbled. City after city and village after village fell to the North while the few U.S. diplomats and military operatives still in the country contemplated withdrawal. With the lives of thousands of South Vietnamese hanging in the balance, those in control faced an impossible choice -- who would go and who would be left behind to face brutality, imprisonment or even death.

(2) Panel Discussion - The panel will be moderated by:
a. John Bersia - host of WUCF TV's Global Perspectives
b. Ret. Col. Gerald Berry, Marine Corps pilot - who logged over 18 hours evacuating hundreds of South Vietnamese citizens
c. Ret. Col. Joe Kittinger, Air Force Pilot who served three combat tours of duty in Vietnam, flying over 483 combat missions and then spending 11 months as a Prisoner of War (POW)
d. Dr. Hoi Van Do, President of the Federation of Vietnamese Community
e. Mr. Tuoi Van Luu, President of the Vietnamese Community of Florida

Please come to honor the lives that were lost during the Fall of Saigon and to listen to the tragic stories that have greatly impacted the lives of the older generations and know how & why did we get here.
