Opening Reception for Natura: Lithuanian artists Irma Kirveliene and Saulius Jankauskas

On March 17th, 2016, Art for All Spaces and the City Arts Factory invite you to experience Natura. Infinite, sublime and paradoxical, nature encompasses “not only all that is visible to the eye,” said the famed Symbolist painter Edvard Munch, “but also the inner pictures of the soul.” It is inclusive of the palpable, describable, classifiable and physical forms of life as well as the ineffable, immeasurable and immaterial qualities of such forms. For example, the visible components of a flower - its petals, stem and center constitute its overt physical nature, its exterior truth; however, the subtle, unseen nature of a flower, its intrinsic character or flowerness, is expressed in its ephemeral beauty, fragility, and purity. Existence and essence are thus examined in this thought provoking exhibit, featuring work by Lithuanian artists Saulius Jankauskas and Irma Kirveliene. Saulius Jankauskas, an aesthetic and reconstructive Plastic Surgeon by day, is widely known for his colorful and multi-thematic fused glass wall pieces. A versatile and internationally recognized artist, Irma Kirveliene's repertoire includes painting, mixed media art, faux murals and installations. Opening just three days before the spring equinox, Natura delivers an abundance of artistic variations on a timeless theme.

This exhibit event is hosted by The CityArts Factory, DowntownArts District, and Art for All Spaces. Art For All Spaces provides curatorial services for commercial and residential spaces, event production, promotion, and artist representation. Call Brad Biggs at 407-450-2255, or Christina Faille at
