Time Out says

Sacred Earth Celebrations workshop series celebrates the changing rhythms and seasons of Earth by exploring the eight Celtic festivals, how they were celebrated and understood in the past, the underlying changing energy of the Earth, and the ways we may use this energy to create meaningful celebrations for today to deepen our connection to the Earth and our fellow human beings. This month's workshop will center on the historical traditions, astronomical meaning, and celebratory activities of Spring Equinox. The Sacred Earth Celebrations series, based on the work of Glennie Kindred, explores the underlying energy of the Earth at this time in the year's cycle, and integrates the patterns and clues which have been handed down to us from traditions which have survived from our past. By combining these different aspects and bringing them into our modern time, we can create new ways to celebrate the Earth and ourselves and discover ways that will help us to grow and transformation from our old patterns of isolation and separation to a deeper understanding of the unity of life. Thus, these festivals remain part of a living tradition which can be used as an aid to our spiritual process at this time. Sacred Earth Celebrations deepens our understanding of the rhythms of the Moon, Earth energies and sacred landscape, inner journeying, creative art, and meditation. In this class we will explore ways to create sacred space both inside and outside, the healing energies of trees and herbs, celebrations for children, crafts, the use of song and dance, garden projects, and many other creative activities to help us connect to the moment, to the Earth and to each other. Tuition for a single workshop is $35, or register for the full eight-part series (covering the entire year) for $250 (a $35 savings) Renee Prince is a community herbalist, mother of three, and frequently teaches earth traditions in the community. She is founder of New Moon Herbals.
