The Moon and Sixpence

Bars Perth Central

There’ll always be an England as long as there are traditional British pubs with traditional British beers on tap – and this one has a buzzing beer garden too

The Moon and Sixpence has been a Murray Street mainstay since the late 1980s, bringing an old-school British pub experience to the CBD. Timber beams, nooks and fireplaces greet you inside, but the real crowds gather in the street-side beer garden. They’ve got a selection of local and international brews with a focus on British on tap. Grab a pub lunch or dinner any day of the week, and stick around for live music on Thursday to Sunday evenings.

The Moon and Sixpence says
First opened in 1989, the Moon and Sixpence in Murray Street (corner of William St), Perth set new standards of ambience, décor, service and quality ‘ON TAP” British, international and local beers. The Moon and Sixpence is a very traditional British Pub featuring dark exposed timber beams, cosy snugs for private little lunches and dinners, warm log fire fireplaces and the type of British hospitality that many have tried to copy but few if any have succeeded.

This pub has stood the test of time to become an iconic place to frequent in the CBD. Today, the original Moon and Sixpence has been expanded to include the CBD’s ONLY beer garden fronting a major street. The amazing atmosphere and the superb traditionally British ‘PUB GRUB’ fare for lunch and dinner seven days a week make the Moon and Sixpence a must visit venue when coming to Perth. Live music is featured every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.
