Our next, land based Beginners Yoga Courses is open for bookings at the South of Perth Yacht Club.

This specially created yoga course has been designed to help you get familiar with the practice of yoga and become SUP Yoga ready for our soon to be released water based yoga classes on the water!

Participating in a well structured and accessible Beginners Yoga Course is a great way to learn the practices of Yoga in an open, fun and supportive environment.

Our principle teacher, Claudia Scalisi has over four years in guiding people through the practice of yoga both on the mat on the stand up paddle boards. Claudia's fun and interactive classes are delivered loaded with good humour and a deep care and commitment to increasing the awareness of health and wellbeing of her students.

Starting exactly where you are, our Beginner Yoga Courses are highly recommended for those that have little or no experience in yoga as you will learn how to modify the postures to suit your individual capabilities with the opportunity of asking questions along the way.

What will you be learning?

In our land based Beginner Yoga Course we’ll be covering various topics of the Hatha Vinyasa yoga practice including;

• Breathing techniques, called Pranayama
• Asana, which are the physical postures
• Vinyasa, described as ‘moving in rhythm with the breath’
• Bandha, the co-activation of muscle groups that assist with improving your balance and coordination
• Surya Namaskars, Sun Salutaions and incorpoating entry level SUP Yoga vinyasa sequences for you to get familiar with in preperation for your SUP Yoga summer!
