The Flying Scotsman says
DJ Charlie Bucket is all about the good vibes. Not only does he hold coveted residencies at venues like the the Manor and the Blue Flamingo, but he also spins at places like the Brisbane, La Cholita, the Rosemount and the Flying Scotsman, of course.

A regular host on RTR FM shows El Ritmo and Global Rhythm Pot, he's also a producer - releasing The Honest EP last year.
We picked his brain so you could get to know the man under the headphones a little better...

Currently he's listening to:
A lot of tropical music usually from 70's and 80's period. Afro beat, island funk, carribean disco and cumbia. But, as for contemporary music, I like The Internet, Anderson .Paak, Kendrick Lamar and Mick jenkins.

How he got into DJing:
I sort of fell into DJing as a natural progression from record collecting. Before that I played drums in a few bands.

Favourite live gig:
Impossible to calculate, but a few honorary mentions include seeing D'angelo in New York, A Tribe Called Quest in Sydney, Roy Ayers, Nile Rogers and Femi Kuti.

Why he loves the Scotto:
I do love the Scotto because I feel it's one of Perth's last 'real' pubs that supports good music, both live and DJ format.
