British Council Australia says
Throughout March and April, we've been scouring the nation looking for Australia's brightest, most charismatic early-career researchers.

Join us at the Western Australian Museum in Perth for the FREE national final on 5 May to see the 12 finalists go head-to-head and battle it out to become Australia's FameLab champion.

Robyn Williams AM – Living National Treasure and acclaimed broadcaster and journalist from the ABC's The Science Show – will be our host for the evening and will introduce the finalists, who will have just three short minutes to explain their complex scientific concepts live on stage, armed only with their wits and a few props!

Have you ever wondered if we'll be able to live on Mars? Or if 3D printing could be the second industrial revolution? Join us for an exciting snapshot into the world of science, engineering, maths and technology as complex concepts like these are explained in an unpredictable and enlightening way!

Presentations will be judged by an esteemed panel of media professionals and public figures according to FameLab’s 3Cs: content, clarity and charisma.

As an audience member you'll not only witness the best in Australian science communication, but you will also be given the power to vote for your favourite contestant in the Audience Choice Award!

The winner will be announced on the night and will go on to compete in the world's largest science communication competition - the international FameLab final - at the Cheltenham Science Festival in the UK in June.

Tickets are completely free but MUST be booked in advance!
