Food For Thought Tamil Eelam Feast says
Food for Thought is a monthly dinner that hopes to raise funds to support detained or recently settled asylum seekers through the celebration of food, culture and the sharing of stories. Every last Thursday of the month a new community will come together and cook for 40 guests in a welcoming, comfortable and friendly environment.

RRAN and Centre for Stories join together to make this night possible. The dinners recognise and pay refugee and asylum-seeker men and women for the skills they have cultivated in the home.

Food for thought offers an opportunity for people who have sought asylum in Australia to get involved in the community. This month's dinner will be hosted by Kali, the project coordinator of #TamilEelamCricket. Kali himself was forced to flee Sri Lanka and after arriving in Australia by boat, spent 17 months in detention. He co-founded TE cricket in order to create a platform for the Tamil diaspora around the world to participate in national and international cricket competitions and also to bridge the gap between newly arrived Tamils and the established Tamil community in Australia. Join us as he shares stories from home and beyond, while we indulge in a feast of delicious authentic Tamil Eelam cuisine cooked up by the cricket team.

See you there!
