Kicking off the new year is the return of the Hopman Cup, one of the premier events in the summer tennis calendar leading up to the Australian Open.
Unlike the Davis and Fed Cups, the Hopman Cup is a mixed competition, pitting the best male and female players across eight countries against each other in singles and doubles matches.
