Celebrate NAIDOC Week with a free family event.

Enjoy an afternoon of free family entertainment in the James Street Amphitheatre with performances by Jake and the Cowboys and a live broadcast by Noongar Radio. Olman Walley, an acclaimed Aboriginal dancer and didgeridoo player will MC the event and open the celebrations with a traditional Welcome to Country.

Learn about Australia’s edible native bush plants and sample a range of bush tucker treats that are sure to thrill your taste buds with displays by:

Max’s Black Gourmet Bush Foods – offering a range of sauces and chilli pastes that capture the flavours of Australia.

Bindi Bindi Dreaming – yummy delights including cakes, roo bites and crackers infused with traditional native herbs and spices.

Urban Indigenous – offering bush tucker tasting and ochre face painting.

Dale Tilbrook – taste a range of chutneys, relishes, jams, sweet sauces, oils and dukkah. Take home a little bush herb blend or sauce for later.

Tucker Bush - offering a range of Australian native plants with edible fruits, nuts, seeds or leaves.

Tune in to 100.9 FM to hear the afternoon’s music live across Noongar Radio.
