More about Jessica:

Jessica Silva was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and dancing has always been part of her life. From a very early age, she displayed great sense of rhythm and love for dance.

Jessica is an outstanding freestyle dancer, spontaneous, with a very raw energy that seems to come straight out of the best samba schools in Brazil. She has been recognised for her authentic talent through impressive achievements and awards in Brazil, including "Carnival Drum Queen" for three consecutive years, "Best Samba Dancer" and “Carnival Queen 2008".

In Brazil, she invested several years working and touring with different dance companies, which gave her the opportunity to perform in a variety of events, including an international tour in Uruguay and Argentina aboard the Royal Caribbean cruise ship, Splendour of the Seas®.

Her pursuit for new cultural experiences has brought her to Perth - Western Australia - in 2012, where she kept expanding her dancing skills and collaborating with many highly respected dancers and musicians.

The Australian experience has helped her broaden her horizons, taking her to perform in a high profile wedding in South Africa. Since arriving in Perth, Jessica has demonstrated great abilities to learn new dance styles in a short period of time. As a result, Jessica has been able to perform Sega, a dance style from Reunion Island and Soukouss, a dance style from the Congo.

Being a multi-talented person, she has managed to perform and give "Samba no Pe" classes and workshops. Still young and full of energy, Jessica's ambition is to spread the Brazilian culture and not only teach a dance style. She believes that nothing is impossible unless you limit yourself.
