Western Australia’s favourite relaxing oasis Sundown Sessions returns with the most energetic live music line-up yet on Saturday 16th January 2016 at the Fremantle Arts Centre, with performances from iconic Australian five-piece rock sensations The Rubens and The Preatures.
Brought to life in 2013, Sundown Sessions has since graced WA with four successful concert events over two summers, combining the ultimate summer’s evening with some of Australia’s finest talent.
The Rubens are the NSW quintet that have taken Australia’s airwaves by storm – with an APRA award for 2013’s sweltering hit ‘My Gun’ and the highly-acclaimed release of their second studio album HOOPS - which peaked at No 2 on the Aria Charts - under their belt, The Rubens are guaranteed to set Fremantle Art Centre’s South Lawn alight with their iconic melodic rock anthems.
Following the critically-acclaimed release of their 2013 album Blue Planet Eyes, which debuted at number four on the ARIA charts and number one on iTunes, The Preatures are set to enthral audiences with plenty of delicious grooves, hip-hugging bass lines and choruses that just won’t quit.
Equal parts soulful and energetic, with a supporting performance from country-soul storytelling maestro Fraser A. Gorman rounds up this incredible line-up and promises an evening to remember for the rest of the year.
