The first Swim Thru was held back in 1977, and it’s become a Rottnest Island tradition ever since. Eager swimmers make the trip to Rotto on the first Saturday of December, and take to the crystal-clear waters for 500 metres or 1,600 metres.
For those braving the full length of the swim, there’ll be prizes awarded for place getters both male and female, as well as by age groups for those under 30.
