The Twisted vaudeville circus says
An explosion of male sensuality explored through the many styles of Boylesque. A spectacular showcase of comedy, vaudeville, circus and professional tease will be available for your voyeuristic pleasure this Fringe World season.

Admire the male form in all its strength and grace while seeing Perth's brightest local boylesque talent featured alongside the boylesque world's top international stars.

Among the stars who range from the glittery to the muscular and those that are an exciting combination of the two, Trash Valentine, 'Perth's Las Vegas show-boy' took some time to chat.

“Its not something you see everyday, it's not something you see on TV or in movie's, its something you can only get in a Live show, in one of our shows – there are very few shows in the world that do what we do.” Trash explains. “Boylesque can be whatever you want it to be, its satire - its striptease - it's amazing, for Trash its the ability to be as sexy and amazing and as feminine as a man wants to be, and have an audience go mad for it.”

Australia’s 'Mr. Boylesque 2014' Charlie D.Barkle will be performing his world-class triple-threat talents along side 'King of Boylesque 2012' Burlesque Hall of Fame's Russell Bruner, sensational local and interstate artists in the fields of acrobatics and fire performance, and the cherry on the cake, Lou Henry Hoover – a 'faux-boy' with talent up the wahzoo.

“I love working with the local talent – its like a family, I love when we all perform together, we can be as creative and expressive as we want to be. Then working with the international talent makes us work even harder, Inspires us, keeps us on our toes, drives us to keep improving, and to kinda show them up”

“Audiences can expect the un-expected. If you thought you knew what burlesque was, and had an idea about what boylesque was, you were wrong.... it's better than you ever thought it could be!”

'The Birdcage; Boylesque' is a fun and outrageous night of raunch and professional tease in the Luxury of the air conditioned Empyrean theatre, just what you need to cap off a fantastic night of fringe festivities. If you are scared of bedazzled male genitalia stay a home – everyone else is welcome.

'The Birdcage; Boylesque' is playing as part of the Fringe World festival at The Empyrean Function centre's Metcalfe playhouse Jan 29-30, Feb 5-6, 12-13, 19-20-21 at 9.45pm. Tickets are available from
