The Cure says
Five years since their last Australian appearance THE CURE today have confirmed they will play Perth Arena on Sunday July 31. Renowned for their sublime two-hour-plus performances, the band will make a very welcome return to our shores marking The Cure’s first Australian tour since August 2007.

Confirming that they are one of the hottest tickets in town, tickets for The Cure’s Melbourne and Sydney shows were swiftly snapped up during the general public on-sale with only a limited number of tickets now remaining for both shows.

The Cure are currently deep in production rehearsals and set to embark on an extensive run of US dates and their first major European tour since 2008.

During the past eight years the band has performed a number of high profile London shows and headlined most of the major European festivals including: Roskilde, Werchter, Reading & Leeds, Pinkpop, Hurricane & Southside, Paleo, Vieilles Charrues, BBK, Belfort, Optimus Alive!, Primavera, Frequency, Electric Picnic and Bestival.

THE CURE TOUR 2016 will present Robert Smith (voice/guitar), Simon Gallup (bass), Jason Cooper (drums), Roger O'Donnell (keys) and Reeves Gabrels (guitar) as they explore 37 years of Cure songs, mixing hits, rarities, favourites and as yet unreleased tracks in a brand new stage production that promises to be one of the 'must see' shows of the year!

Tickets for the newly announced Perth Arena show go on sale at 9am on Tuesday, May 17 through Ticketek.
