Walk Together Perth 2016 says
Walk Together 2016 will be a huge celebration of diversity and a loud declaration that thousands of Australians believe we can become a nation known for our compassion, generosity and welcome.

Walking from St George's Cathedral to the Expresstival 2016 festival in Forrest Place.

Walk Together Perth is excited to partner with Expresstival festival this year, to bring together a fun-filled afternoon in Forrest Place, celebrating art and multiculturalism following our gathering at St George's Cathedral.

Expresstival is an Anti-Poverty week event, which aims to unite the diverse communities of Western Australia in conversations about poverty, through art and creative expression. The Walk Together team have recognised that newly arrived families, particularly those seeking asylum, are disproportionately vulnerable to economic hardship. We recognise that #WeShareOurFuture and this decision to partner is a decision to #WalkTogether.

We share our future. Walk Together is a call to all Australians to recognise that as a diverse, multicultural society including people of all faiths and cultures, it is our responsibility to build the best future we can together. It is a call to recognise that only together, in unity and mutual respect, will this future be a bright one. Only when we see the humanity in one another, see that we share common dreams of safety, belonging and fulfilling our full potential can we create a society in which all people are able to thrive.
