Get active

BIG4 Ledge Point Holiday Park offers awesome opportunities to explore beautiful beaches and take advantage of fruitful spots for ocean fishing at this small coastal town 105km north of Perth. "The groyne” is the place to be if you’re hoping to catch whiting, herring or tailor. Bring back your catch of the day, crack open a beer, and cook up a storm on the barbecue. The park itself allows access to the next door Country Club, where you can play golf, tennis, lawn bowls and dine at the restaurant and bar. You're also just 14 minutes from the sand dunes of Lancelin, where you can go sand boarding down the biggest sand dunes in Western Australia or explore them with a dirt bike or four wheel drive.

Hit the beach

Enjoy a swim or a surf in the crystalline waters of Middleton Beach in Albany, known by the traditional Noongar people as ‘Binalup’ (meaning place of first light.) In the winter months, join a whale watching tour to catch the magical migration of the humpback and southern right whale. Kick back at BIG4 Middleton Beach Holiday Park, where you can relax in the hydro spa, or unwind in the heated pool on site. While down here in the Great Southern Region you can explore the charming Denmark area from your base at BIG4 Denmark Ocean Beach Holiday Park. The beaches in this region are framed by tree-covered hills and miles of sparkling coastline. Plop down a towel, and enjoy the soft white sand and peaceful surroundings. Back at your accommodation, keep an eye out for resident kangaroos. Wake up at BIG4 Dongara Denison Beach Holiday Park up on the Coral Coast at Port Denison for Sunday pancakes at the park, before heading out to soak up the coastal village charm. Here, four hours north of Perth, you’re in the lobster capital of WA, and the wildflowers are something else – the park can recommend driving tours to view the blooms.

Bask in nature

Wildflowers, indeed, are icons of Western Australia’s unique natural beauty. Between July and October, head to BIG4 Taunton Farm Margaret River to observe a kaleidoscope of colourful wildflower blooms that blanket the landscape. You can rely on staff to give you the best tips and pointers on where to go! Naturally there are wineries and surf beaches to explore as well while staying at this rural holiday park with its friendly animals that you can help to feed. Using BIG4 Geraldton Sunset Beach as your base, head out to discover the unusual and highly Instagrammable Hutt Lagoon (Pink Lake). Enjoy the peace of the beach-front park location in the Mid West, or shoot some pool to unwind after a day of exploring. BIG4 Emu Beach Holiday Park in Albany offers an adventure for the wild at heart with proximity to West Cape Howe National Park. You’ll need a 4WD to get off the beaten track, but it's worth it for breathtaking views over King George Sound. Get into a game of mini golf with your mates at BIG4 to end the day.

Eat and drink

Settle into BIG4 Perth Midland Tourist Park and eat your way around the WA capital. A choice recommendation includes Wildflower, a restaurant that invokes the Indigenous Noongar philosophy of six seasons. The menu incorporates both foraged and locally sourced ingredients for a unique taste of the region. Swing by BIG4 Plantation Caravan Park in Carnarvon during the Gascoyne Food Festival, Australia’s largest regional gastronomic food experience. Each July to September, this festival spanning the Gascoyne region of the northwest showcases the best meat, seafood, fruit and vegetables along with lipsmacking gastronomic events. At the caravan park, take what you’ve learned and put your green thumbs to work on the park’s communal garden. BIG4 Breeze Holiday Parks – Busselton is the ideal base to take bush tucker and wine tours of the Margaret River region. You’ll taste unique flavours that include crocodile and emu, along with native fruit chutneys and wild food dishes. If you’ve got a dog on the road with you, the park has a DIY Dog Wash to keep your furry companion fresh.
