Most people will gladly taste wine, travel to vineyards and pair a bottle with food for free. And yet sommeliers manage to get paid to do just that. To help ease your FOMO, Osteria is inviting us commoners into a “trade testing,” an expo-style event where wine distributors and brand ambassadors present their latest offerings to pour and educate somms. You’ll get to chat with producers, pick up tasting sheets, nibble on light bites and, of course, try delicious wine. And since they’re an Italian eatery, this Fairmount restaurant will focus on small, artisan producers from all over Italy.
