A Night in the Canary Islands

East Passyunk is turning out new restaurants faster than we can make resos. And Barcelona Wine Bar, that oh-so-cool spot right in the thick of things, is no doubt a place you want to be during Philly Wine Week. While they’re hosting events all week long, we’re particularly excited by their Canary Island tasting night. Mostly because who even knew such a thing existed? Barcelona’s beverage manager Abbie Bintliff leads the tasting of five Canary Island wines (the grapes are grown in volcanic ash), all paired with Spanish-imported cheeses.
