Feedel Band

At Calvary Church, 801 South 48th Street, Philadelphia at 7:30 pm. $10-30. Free kid's show at 6:00. The first all-Ethiopian-born group in North America, the Feedel Band was founded by keyboardist Araya Woldemichael and features Moges Habte on sax, Alemseged Kebede on electric bass, and five more leading musicians based in the Washington DC area. The band's music ranges from classic Ethiopian jazz and funk, to Ethiopian traditional music, to more contemporary pieces.
