Martin Blake welcomes you to a space where one can ride a wave of inexplicable energy that necessitates a productive realization instead of suppression and self-doubt. This show will comprise of paintings and ramp-sculptures which compile several modes of thinking into aesthetic and kinesthetic terms. They deal with momentum, amplitude, and height to create a euphoric art-viewing experience to leave the viewer refreshed and enlivened upon their leaving. Join me for the opening reception of my Tyler MFA Thesis Show. “HI” is the last show of Martin Blake’s MFA candidacy at Tyler School of Art. He was born in Los angeles and currently holds his BFA from Boston University in 2009. Since then he has lived in New Orleans and Los Angeles, and has shown in Los Angeles and Philadelphia.
