February’s lesson topic is “Clothes and Culture in an Ever-Changing World.” Do your clothes say something about who you are and what you do? We’ll take a look at history in the context of fashion to see how people have thought of themselves, looked at one another, and lived day-to-day through the centuries.
Our Homeschooler Days program serves homeschooled students, ages 5 – 13, and meets monthly with morning and afternoon sessions to choose from. This year’s topics range from botany to colonial cooking, and from navigation to creating music from birdsong!
Morning session: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. RSVP: 2015februaryhomeschoolam.bpt.me
Afternoon session: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. RSVP: 2015februaryhomeschoolpm.bpt.me
Costs: $10 per student or free for Bartram Members.
Each lesson includes activities, reading, snacks, and walks through the garden (weather permitting). At least one adult chaperone is required for every two children.
Pre-registration required. Waitlist is available if registration is full. Contact Leslie Gale: lgale@bartramsgarden.org.
