Urban Retreat: Meditations On Love

Advertising

Time Out says

Buddha taught that love is a wish for someone else to be happy. This is very different from attachment–exaggerating someone else’s good qualities, valuing them because they make us feel good, and thinking they can make us truly happy. Attachment is often mistaken for love, so in this special Valentine’s Day retreat we will learn how to differentiate between the two and how to meditate on love so we can increase and deepen our wish for others to experience lasting happiness. Sessions: 11:00am-11:45am 2:00-2:45pm 4:00-4:45pm 6:00-6:45pm $5 per session or $15 for all four. No pre-registration. Attend all four sessions in the traditional way of doing retreat, or drop into any session as your schedule allows. No prior meditation experience is necessary, and everyone is welcome.
