Carnegie Mellon University School of Music is proud to present the Pittsburgh Double Bass Symposium on May 3, 2015. This event is free and open to the public with special guests Max Dimoff, principal bass of The Cleveland Orchestra, Timothy Pitts of Rice University, David Allen Moore of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Jeffrey Mangone principal bass of the Pittsburgh Opera Orchestra, JeffreyTurner and members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra double bass section, and Carnegie Mellon University double bass faculty, Micah Howard and Peter Guild. Sponsor/Exhibitors include Shank's Strings, Nick Lloyd, Heartland String Bass Shop and Michael Magee.
