Formed in Long Island, NY, Brand New took shape in 2000 around the talents of drummer Brian Lane, vocalist/guitarist Jesse Lacey, bassist Garrett Tierney, and guitarist Vin Accardi. In 2001, the musicians issued their first record, Your Favorite Weapon, which featured production from friend Mike Sapone. Lacey's clever and cutting lyrics sprinkled the album, which produced the hit "Jude Law and a Semester Abroad." Proving to be more than just another punk-pop outfit, the group made something of a stylistic leap with Deja Entendu, a decidedly matured follow-up that was released in summer 2003. The highly anticipated The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me appeared in November 2006. Though significantly darker and less immediate than past efforts, the album was commended for its depth and maturity, and the band supported it with a sold-out spring 2007 tour. 2009 brought the release of Daisy followed by heavy European touring. Nearly 7 years after the release of Daisy, Brand New is set to take the stage with Modest Mouse, outdoors at Stage AE on July 5th!

Modest Mouse was formed in 1993 in Issaquah, Washington and over the last decade has become the indie rock standard and one of the few bands capable of treading the narrow path where massive popularity is possible without sacrificing their longtime fans. The band released their first full-length album, This Is A Long Drive For Someone With Nothing To Think About, in 1996. With the release of their second album, The Lonesome Crowded West in 1997. In 2000, Modest Mouse was signed to Epic Records and released their third album, The Moon & Antarctica. In 2004 came the release of their breakthrough album, Good News For People Who Love Bad News, which included the hit “Float On,” has sold over 1.5 million copies and earned the band two Grammy nominations

We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank, was released on March 20, 2007 and immediately entered the Billboard Top 200 chart at #1. On August 4th, 2009 Modest Mouse released a special EP, No One’s First, And You’re Next. Simultaneous to the EP release, Modest Mouse released the highly anticipated Heath Ledger directed video for ‘King Rat,” a track also included on the No One’s First, And You’re Next EP. Eight years after Modest Mouse released We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank, the influential indie rock outfit will return in March 2015 with a new LP titled Strangers to Ourselves. Modest Mouse join Brand New on July 5th at Stage AE outdoors in Pittsburgh, PA!
